The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge in New York City. The masonry structure connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn, spanning the East River.  That's not fog in the photograph, but snow just starting. Tight security around bridges these days would make this shot nearly impossible today.
