Liliy pads covering the surface of a pond with reeds and reflections in black and white.

Patterns in nature are a popular photographic subject.  The black and white graphic pattern of lily pads on the pond presents a natural decorative design in monochrome.  As I studied this scene I realized that each lily pad is tethered to the bottom of the pond by a long, sensuous stem.
